You must be too bored with your dull, frizzy hair? This week end, you want to try some thing new for your friend's party or you must be going to see your boy friend and want to surprise him with new look? Party, wedding or gathering whatever be the occasion you may want to look good and steal the show. Turn to styling products and change the looks of your mane and transform your self. If you have curly or wavy locks you might want to have straight hair. You can do this easily at home but beware of the damages it may cause if proper care is not taken. Read on to find out how you can straighten your mane with out damaging your follicles and look great.

Straightening tips to protect your mane!

1.Always buy an ironing machine which has ceramic base and not metal. If it is metal it may burn and badly damage your locks. Ceramic is quite safe.

2.Buy a machine which has inbuilt temperature regulator. It should have buttons for you to switch on and off such that you can control them, increase or decrease as you want. Once, the machine has reached its highest temperature it will automatically cool down even if you ...
... have forgotten to reduce it.

3.Try ironing after washing your hair, and apply the heat on the conditioned and damp locks. Use a close toothed comb and brush your mane slowly while running down the ironing machine simultaneously.

4.Use protective serum to lock the moisture and avoid dryness. Then iron your mane, you can repeat the serum application after ironing in order to add more shine to your follicles. This is optional.

5.Have a movement and not remain stable. You need to move the ironing machine from top to the tips and not hold it on in one place for long, this may burn out your mane.

6.Final tip is to maintain your locks. Do not use it frequently, you can use it once or twice a week, not more than that. Using conditioner after washing them is a must, this will safe guard your locks and prevents it from getting brittle or dry. Serum is also a must to keep them moisturized.

Be careful about the damages it may cause if enough care is not taken. Use it occasionally to look good but don't cause it to break.
