Assignment making is never an easy task and it will require a lot of hard work from your part. As the topic will be given to you, first of all you need to read a lot to understand the subject. Then you will need to start your research work to solve the problem.

The first important thing is to understand the problem and then to plan a method to solve it. The methods will determine the way you will choose your sample, the way you will collect your data and the analytical techniques you will be using. There are two methods of selecting samples from populations; non random sampling or judgment sampling; and random or probability sampling. In probability sampling, all the items in the population have a chance of being chosen in the sample. In judgment sampling, personal knowledge and opinion are used to identify the items from the population that are to be included in the sample. A sample selected by judgment sampling is based on someone's expertise about the population. Sometimes a judgment sample is used as a pilot or trial sample to decide how to take a random sample later. The rigorous statistical analysis that can be ...
... done with probability samples can't be done with judgment samples. They are more convenient and can be used successfully even if we are unable to measure their validity. But if a study uses judgment sampling and loses a significant degree of representative ness, it will have purchased convenience at too high a price. The next step is to select methods for data collection. One of the popular data collection methods is data collection method through questionnaire. Questionnaire is a list of questions, answers for which we are filled in by the informants and these answers are the required information for the investigation. The questionnaire is sent to the informants by mail or otherwise. The informants are instructed to answer the questions (fill up the questionnaire) and send them back to the investigator. Thus, the investigator obtains the required data. This method is highly useful when the area under investigation is vast. It is cheap and it consumes less time and labor. After the collection of data different analytical treatments mainly statistical in nature done on the collected data to arrive at a conclusion. It is an analysis of structure of the population with regard to some characteristics of the units. Analytical investigation may concern any theory or activity in Economics, Business, Industry, Medicine, Arts etc. The investigation may be-
a) To prove a newly formed theory concerning a population. The theory may be Tobacco chewing leads to mouth cancer'. It may be required to verify this theory.
b) To know the existing nature of the population. The investigator may be required to find out the cost of living index for a community of people or he may be required to find out the birth rate in a city.
So it can be said that analytical treatment is extremely required for arriving at any valid and unbiased conclusion of the assignment.
