When it comes to DRTV best practices speaking clearly to customers is at the top of the list. The reason why is because you want your customers to understand what is being said, what the features of the product are, and how they can make a purchase. Speaking clearly and in simple words is often times the easiest way to address viewers who are potential customers. Using large words, difficult to understand comparisons, or anything at an advanced level (unless your target market is of an advanced educational level) may turn some viewers off or worse yet not allow them to understand what your product can do for them.
