4. No synthetic drugs or chemical fertilizers can be used.

Organic palm oil draws on a centuries old tradition. Palm oil has long been produced and used throughout Africa and Asia. Industrialization and technology changed the way oil palms were raised as well as the process by which oil is extracted from the fruit.
