To say that the computers have revolutionized our lives would not be wrong. This is the age of the computer networks, home computers, and the Internet. We have reached a stage where it has become almost impossible for us to lead our lives without a computer. Everything around us is becoming computerized. Almost nothing is being done manually nowadays. There are several reasons for this. The computer is faster that human beings and at the same time it is very accurate. It can store large volumes of data in a very small space. It is very easy to search for data on a computer and at the same time manipulation of data can also be done in a very simple way using the computer. These are some of the important advantages of computers. And the above said reasons are why computers are being used in every field of life today.

The world is growing at a very rapid pace. Every company is trying to get bigger and bigger. In order to be able to communicate effectively with each other, it is necessary that proper networks are established. Computer networks are basically an interconnection of computers on a Local Area network or through ...
... the Internet. If a person visits a company, he or she is sure to come across several computers. In order to work effectively, share data, resources and ideas, it is necessary that these computers are connected with each other. This is precisely a computer network. People can work in a better fashion if each of them has access to all the resources. However, if network problems crop up, there is every possibility that the chain might be cut.

Every company or organization, however small or big, have their offices computers connected together in a network? The kind of network in which the computers are connected depends on a number of factors. The physical architecture and space are two of the most important factors. Apart from this, the information that has to be shared also plays a role in selecting the network pattern. This is the reason why most companies employ network consultants who will be able to plan and decide in which fashion the network has to be laid. network consultants are people who specialize in network architecture and setting up networks, and they will be in a position to choose what would best suit the requirements.

Networking is very important as it helps people stay in touch with each other and saves a lot of time. If one had to go and personally meet people every time he or she had an idea, then that would take a lot of tome. Instead, by mailing those concerned, one can get instant replies. Also it becomes very easy to share resources. The resources are common to the entire network. But if any network problem arises, then care should be taken to make sure that the resources are safe and security is maintained. It is always preferable to form a network in such a way that even if one system fails, the others in the network should not be affected. So even if any network problems arise, there will be some computers, which will be able to do their work.
