Dry erase calendars, whiteboards, markers, and cleaners work together to keep homes and offices running smoothly. Families these days are so busy that it is almost impossible to keep track of all the important events each week. In the workplace, employees may be working on shared projects. Alternatively, there may be a need to keep track of when the boss is in and out of the office.

Whether the white board covers a day, a week, a month, or a year it is a handy tool. Each worker or family member can have an individual section for listing appointments, and everyone else can see the plans. Families and offices both make use of the board in different ways. Most organizations like to place these dry erase boards in a central office location. This is a great way to improve office communication. It is easy to follow the activities of everyone in the office, and know at a glance what each worker is doing. Receptionists and secretaries can refer to them when planning meetings and events. Families may prefer to post the board in a kitchen, allowing children and adults to view the regular schedule at the beginning of each day. ...

Dry erase board markers are a great accessory for keeping calendars up to date. Since dry erase markers come in a wide variety of colors, they offer a myriad of organizing options. A different color can be used for each person on the calendar. This can be a nice way of keeping children involved in the scheduling process. Buy a variety pack of colors, and let each child choose a color. The other family members can choose colors, too. Fine point, chisel tip, and bullet tip markers allow kids to help decorate the calendar with their own designs. Non-toxic inks are best for family use. In the office, the chisel tip and fine point markers can be used to add details about important events. In this case, color-coding is not done based on the individual, but on the requirements of the situation. Usually, different types of events get their own colors. For example, staff meetings might be designated in green, while sales appointments could be shown in red. Other colors might be used for in-office and out of office days. The only thing to be careful of is not to use permanent markers on the board surfaces. Permanent marker can cause damage and be difficult to remove.

Every dry erase board gets dirty at some point. Even specially designed erasers do not always remove everything. There can be flecks of ink that accumulate and spread across the surface of the whiteboard. Sometimes markers leave a "ghosting" impression even after they have been erased. That makes it difficult to read any new information. The best way to keep a whiteboard clean is to use the products created by the manufacturer especially for that purpose. Many whiteboard companies make spray cleaners that thoroughly remove all traces of old marker streaks. One-step wipes are also offered in convenient dispensers that can be kept near the board for easy cleanup. Even permanent marker can be cleaned with ease. Most companies make a remover designed to take care of accidents like this.

When there is a centrally located calendar that lists all the upcoming activities, staying on track and in touch is easier. Family time is precious, so none should be wasted worrying and wondering where others are. The family calendar can save time and reduce stress. A public calendar can help with scheduling meetings, keeping track of vacation time, or posting regular work hours for each week. In this way, the office calendar is a valuable asset. Homes and offices alike can benefit by using dry erase boards to help keep track of scheduling.
