Scabies Natural Home Remedies And Treatments

Scabies is a skin infection caused by a variety of tiny bugs and mites. This skin condition is common among those who live in unhygienic manner. It easily spreads to other people in contact with the infected person. It affects on hairless areas. The infected person notices more itching at nights. The bugs cause severe itching of the fingers, breasts, wrists, waist and portions of the genitalia. The itching is so severe that small fluid filled blisters that are formed may be scratched until they bleed and form scabs.

The major symptoms of scabies are itchy vesicular eruption on the skin. The itching get worsen at night. There is perhaps inflammation, pus formation and scratching. Presence of characteristic burrows is also seen in this skin condition.

Home Remedies for Scabies

Scabies home remedies are widely used in the treatment of this skin condition. These remedies are simple yet effective in relieving itching, pain and growth of parasites inside the skin.

2. Turmeric powder together with mustard oil and margosa leaves work as a miracle home remedy for scabies. Make a paste of margosa (neem) leaves and mix some turmeric powder and mustard oil in it. Apply this paste on the affected regions and leave for at least one hour.

3. Tea tree oil is another useful natural treatment for scabies. This oil kills the mites and their eggs. It heals your skin naturally and stops itching. For the treatment, put about 20 drops of tea tree oil in a bathtub of warm water and bath in it twice a day. Also apply some tea tree oil directly to the affected areas with a cotton bud two times a day. Continue this treatment for at least three weeks.

Remember after using above home remedies for treating scabies, wash your clothes and bedding with antibacterial detergent. This is because, there may be some mites still living in your room and your cloths that may increase the risk to reinfect you.
