Natural treatments and home remedies are widely used in treating various health conditions in mild cases. Below are some of the easy available and easy followed home remedies for eczema.
Margosa (neem) - Take 3-4 juvenile leaves of margosa. Pound them along with 2-3 black peppercorns and make into small balls. Take 1 or 2 balls on an empty stomach twice as a natural treatment for eczema.
Camphor - Camphor along with coconut oil is a valuable home remedy for eczema. Mix coconut oil with some camphor and apply on the affected region.
Turmeric - Turmeric has valuable healing properties and is widely used in a number of skin ailments. Prepare a paste of turmeric and apply locally or take approx. half teaspoon twice with milk.
Spearmint Leaves - Apply the juice of spearmint leaves regularly on the affected parts to reduce the problem.

Almond Leaves - Mash few almond leaves in water and apply on the affected area. It reduces the problem and relieves discomfort.
Picrorhiza kurroa (kutki) - Soak equal quantities (four grams each) of kutki and wormwood (nagdona) in 125 grams of water in a glass vessel in the night and cover it. In the morning, filter the solution and drink. Now you can add 125 grams of water in the same material and vessel, so that it can be used continuously for four days. Then throw away and add four grams of fresh kutki and nagdona in 125 grams of water and change the material every four days. Drink this water for three to four weeks. This remedy is beneficial in curing eczema and purifying your blood.
Do's and Don'ts for Eczema
1. Do not use soap, chemicals and other drying agents that are unsafe to the skin.
2. Avoid rough and synthetic agents such as wool and silk. Wear light colored cotton clothes in summers.
3. Cut your fingernails regularly to prevent skin scratching.
4. Take daily bath with antibacterial soap such as margosa soap. Also take care to keep proper hygiene.
