City Cleaning Services
If you live in the city, you may have noticed that there are some cleaning problems unique to your situation. Whether you've got a small apartment on the 14th floor (with no elevator), or a luxury townhome uptown, your cleaning needs will differ from those of someone in the suburbs. It's also more likely that you will need a cleaning service to assist you. Here are some of the common problems you may face, while living in the city.
Trash Disposal: If you live in the city, you may not be able to dispose of your trash whenever you want. You may only have trash pickup once or twice a week, or the trash bin may be a long walk (or many flights of stairs) from your apartment. So how are you supposed to de-clutter? Well, if you live in the city, it may be a good idea to ask a cleaning service to handle your trash. They may be able to help you keep it down to a minimum, and dispose of it properly.
Old buildings: In the city, new buildings aren’t constructed as often, and older buildings are often repurposed for residents and tenants. If you live in a very old building, it can be exceptionally hard to keep ...
... it looking clean. Dust and mildew are a big problem, and paint may be old, floors may be cracked or stained, and even worse, you don’t want to run the risk of damaging old flooring and ceilings. To combat this, you will need to be sure you are cleaning in a way that does not damage older fixtures, and will be sustainable. Speak to a cleaning service skilled at cleaning old buildings.
Storage for cleaning supplies: It takes a lot of space to properly store all the things you need for a good clean. Buckets, mops, chemicals, gloves, and sponges may all take up space that you don’t have. How about having someone bring those things when it’s time to clean? A good cleaning service will be able to provide their own equipment, so if you’re cramped for space, it may be a good idea to have someone else supply the buckets and brooms.
Indoor pets: If you’re in an apartment on the fifth floor, chances are, you can’t take your dog or cat out as often as they’d like. For some animals, a well placed puppy pad is all that’s required, but not every animal is perfect. Even well trained pets can make a mess in a small space, even if they’re trying to keep everything neat. Pet odors can quickly get into furniture and clothes, so it’s important that you have someone clean areas where pets are active when you’re away. This may mean vacuuming kitty litter out of the carpet, getting pet hair off the sofa, and scrubbing the floors underneath puppy pads (or on the walls around them) just to be sure that everything stays neat and tidy.
