Big banner Hollywood director James Cameron is accredited with the making of many blockbusters flicks such as aliens, terminator, Rambo, Abyss and Dark Angel. Recently he made his mark in the entertainment industry with the most expensive 3-D animation movie Avatar with a budget of 1200 crores.

The movie takes place in the year 2154m where the earth is heading towards an ecological destruction and the only cure available is on the moons of Pandora, home to people known as Na'vi. To convince them the people from earth send a marine transformed into a na'vi in order to make him to strike the deal but slowly the marine become attach to the people of Pandora and decides to fight against his own race, the human beings to save the tribe and the resources they have. The movie shows the insatiable greed and violent nature of human beings towards other creatures on the planet.

James Cameron's Avatar has tons of 3-D effects never seen before in any animation movie released so far yet and delivers a message of preserving the planet by keeping it clean and green. The details of every character in the movie whether a creature ...
... or human kept astonishingly real and keeps the viewer glued to his seat until the end. The star cast has delivered an excellent acting performance.

The movie having a budget of $300 released on December 18, 2009 through out the world became the first movie to earn $2 billion worldwide. The movie was in the project after the completion of the 1997 blockbuster Titanic. The release date being in May 2009 delayed due to postproduction time for letting the theatres to have the 3-D projectors for the screening of the movie. However, the development of the movie began in 1994 but delayed due to lack of the necessary technology for the effects required for the movie. The script developed in 2005 and the effects produced in 2006. The movie's official budget was $237 million.

People who have viewed James Cameron's Avatar have an opinion that for almost 10 years the 3-D effects, live and computer animation one has to appreciate it. The film has all the visual delight that a science fiction movie would carry with itself but lacks an original plot and the long running time spoils the fun. However, the movie has established James Cameron as a director with limitless imagination power and talent in making the audience stick to their seats while watching his movies.

The movie addresses issues, such as spirituality, colonisation, environmental awareness and chaos. James Cameron has broken all records with the movie and affected the minds of the people regarding the greed people have in them for ruling over everyone in the entire universe.

The movie has everything from an amazing story to animation never seen before, a world full of colors and emotions to characters who make the viewer as a part of the plot and the surprise factor that will always remain in the mind of the audience even after coming out of the movie halls.
