Spring Cleaning Services

Spring cleaning is typically a one time process that is most often undertaken at the beginning of the year; however, if your home needs it, anytime is a great time for a spring cleaning. Spring cleaning is a deep cleaning process that usually involves touching virtually every item and surface in the home and can be quite laborious and time consuming.
Common Spring Cleaning Services
These are services frequently provided in addition to a standard house clean. Of course, services available will vary from company to company.
* Spot cleaning of infrequently cleaned objects such as walls, doorknobs, switch plates and the like.
* Extensive dusting, including baseboards, ceiling fans, high shelves, and door frames.
* Spot cleaning of carpets and rugs.
* Extensive vacuuming, including behind and underneath furniture and the air conditioning vents.
* Window washing.
* Wiping of blinds and shutters and washing fabric window treatments.
* Deep clean of kitchen appliances.
Hiring a Service
Many people don’t automatically think ...
... of using a cleaning service to knock out their spring cleaning, but more and more folks are realizing that it’s a great idea that will save them time and energy, not to mention that the service will probably do it better and faster! Treat yourself to a day out with your special someone or family and let someone else take care of the knick-knacks and cobwebs. Here are some things to consider when hiring a service:
* Go with a pro! Do some research and settle on a company that you are confident is knowledgeable about cleaning, trustworthy (look for testimonials on their website or check with friends for recommendations), and that will perform the types of chores your home requires. Hiring a friend of friend might result in less than professional results, and some surfaces, such as marble, require special cleaning solvents and can be easily damaged by careless cleaning.
* Get estimates, but scrutinize deals that are too good to be true. You are paying for the maintenance of your home, so remember not to focus solely on price, but also take into consideration quality of work, reputation, and services offered.
* Spring cleaning requires a lot of chores that often aren’t included in a standard, one time cleaning service. If you can, have a cleaning service representative come out to your home for an estimate and to go over a list of your requirements. This way, the company can accurately quote you based on the actual magnitude of the job and you will know in advance if there are some aspects of the work which they will not be able to tackle.
* Ask who supplies the cleaning products. If the cleaning service company supplies the products, make sure that it is more than simply an all purpose cleaning solution and a dust rag, especially if it seems like the service-people who are cleaning your home might be limited as to how many rags they are allowed to use. Those types of policies create homes that look clean but aren’t. It’s usually a good idea to simply buy your own supplies and make them available for use.
