Kerala, a beautiful Indian state, is a very preferred destination for honeymooning vacation. It attracts honeymooners or newly wed couples from all over the world. For new wed couples, Kerala (also known as God's Own Country) is like a paradise. Honeymoon couples have a dream to celebrate their honeymoon vacation in serene & sheer romantic ambiance. And couples can make their dreams come true by celebrating their vacations in Kerala, God's Own Country. There is a saying marriages are made in haven and honeymoons are celebrated on the earth. In my point of view, if there is a heavenly honeymoon destination in the world then that is none other than Kerala. I again repeat it is my opinion. I have celebrated my honeymoon in Kerala and during my vacation. I and my beloved liked and enjoyed this place in most enjoyable ways by visiting beaches, backwaters and staying at luxury houseboat cruises.

First of all I prefer backwaters of Kerala. Backwaters here are networked by lakes, lagoons, rivers, inlets, canals, etc. There is over 900 km stretch of meandering backwaters which are serene and scenic. Couples can enjoy cruise over serene and scenic stretch of backwaters to make their honeymooning vacation memorable. There many options to cruise backwaters. You can cruise by boats or canoe. The best option for cruising stretches of backwaters is houseboat traditionally called Kettuvallams. Houseboats are luxury holiday home floating over the vast stretches of serene & scenic backwater. Other popular beaches are Varkala, Kovalam, Fort Kochi, Mararikulam, Fort Kochi, Bekal Fort, Cherai, Poovar, Beypore, etc. But in my point of view, Fort Kochi can be a perfect destination for your Kerala honeymoon tour. It is because the Fort Kochi offers attractions for which Kerala is known for. In fact, city tour in Kochi gives tourists complete glimpse of Kerala tourism.

In also prefer verdant hill stations of Kerala as honeymoon destinations. It is because they are different from other Indian hill stations. They are endowed with fantastic nature beauty, lush landscapes, refreshing air, relaxing ambiance, amiable atmosphere and attractions of tourists interests like temples, museum, etc. Hill stations here are also home to exotic wildlife - diverse flora and fauna. Munnar, Wayanad, Ponmudi, Vagamon, Peermede, Mattupetty, Echo Points, etc are popular hill stations in God's Own Country known for their virgin beauty. So, you also have options to choose from picturesque hill stations as your honeymoon destination.
