It's a shame that the Internet is now filled with useless articles. This is because some article marketers do not really care about offering their readers with quality content. They just want to have something that they can post on directories so they'll get inbound links.

As an internet marketer, you need to realize that this will not work to your advantage. You see, even if you're able to attract online users to read your articles, there is no way that you'll be able to convert them to buying customers. These people will not purchase from you unless they are 100% sure that you're highly intelligent and that you understand your chosen niche deeply.

So, make it a habit to write effective articles or those articles that will surely worth your readers' time. Here's what you can do to make that happen:

1. Give in to the demands of your readers. Your goal is to impress these people, right? You can accomplish this by giving these people exactly what they're looking for. Before you start writing, talk to them on forums and social media networks. Ask about their problems, their questions, their areas of interest, ...
... and other things that they find important. These are the best things that you can discuss on your articles so you can easily address the learning needs of your readers.

2. Start strong. Online users are always in a hurry. If they open your articles and if they don't see anything worthwhile on your first 20-100 words, they'll close your copies in a heartbeat. You surely don't want this to happen, do you? So, make your introduction as explosive as possible. Find ways on how you can hook your readers and how you can promote further reading.

4. Explain your ideas using short paragraphs. As your audience is reading your articles from their computer screen, it's important that you make your copies easy on the eyes or readable. One way to do this is by explaining your ideas using short paragraphs that contain no more than 5 sentences. It will also help if you use bullet list and subheadings that can make your content scannable.

5. Talk to your readers. Aside from educating your readers, it is also your job to put them at ease. This will happen if you write your articles the same way you'll talk to them in person. Be upbeat and be spontaneous. Use simple terms as much as possible. Engage your readers by asking them questions or by sharing with them your personal stories.

6. Information. Information. Information. Your articles must contain nothing but great information. They must be free from blatant ads and other irrelevant data. Keep in mind that your goal is to educate your readers or increase their knowledge on their areas of interest.

7. Tell your readers what you know. Don't be afraid to share trade secrets and insider tips on your articles. You see, this is the fastest way to convince your readers that you're truly knowledgeable and that you have what it takes to address their questions and problems.

8. Offer examples when needed. There are times that you need to write about new topics or complicated concepts. In these situations, I encourage you to offer your readers with relevant examples or visuals to help them better understand your ideas.

9. Don't advertise on your articles. I know that you're ultimate goal in writing and distributing articles online is to increase your sales and revenue. But you can't advertise on your articles to make this happen. You see, people these days can easily figure out if you're genuinely interested in educating them. If they sense that your intention is to sell them something, they'll close your articles even before you know it. So, avoid inserting sales pitches anywhere on your content. You'll get your chance to talk about your offerings on your resource box.

10. Promote further reading. If you're posting your articles' on your website and blog, I recommend that you insert links that will take your readers to your other site's pages for further reading. This will help you get your readers to stay longer while giving them all the kind of information they need.

11. Keep it simple. Don't use big words or fancy terms when writing your articles as these will not help you in anyway. Discuss your chosen topics as if you're talking to a 10-year old kid.

12. Keep it short. Ensure that your articles are relatively short and brief. Tell your readers what's on your mind using 500 words or less. Say want you mean upfront and don't beat around the bush at all cost as your readers do not have a single minute to waste.

13. End strong. Make sure that your articles will leave a scar on the minds of your readers. This will happen if you give them something to think about at the end of your copies.
