The race for supremacy has just been kicked up a notch in the Warhammer 40k universe. With the imminent release of the Warhammer 40k Tyranid Codex in January 2010, will see the Space Marines trying desperately to stop the relentless push of the Tyranids into their marine's territories.

All is not lost for the Space Marines, as the Legion of the Damned models are released just prior to the arrival of the Tyranid models. In the entire Warhammer 40k universe no Space Marine Chapter is as mysterious as the Legion of the Damned. They appear out of nowhere, when the Space Marines have their backs to the wall and defeat is almost a certainty. Once the day has been won for the Space Marines, the Legion of the Damned vanishes as just quickly as they arrived. Space Marines have tried in vain for centuries to try and locate the Legion of the Damned home world, but to no avail.

The new Space Marine's Legion of the Damned models armed with the standard Space Marine wargear but also includes models with a Flamer, Heavy Flamer and Multi-Melta. ...
... These models are highly customisable to make them stand out from normal Space Marines.

The Tyranids new models are quite awesome to look at, from the new Trygon to the plastic Gargoyles. These new breed of Tyranids are going to be more than capable of ripping the Space Marines apart or any other Warhammer 40k army.

With the large amount of Warhammer terrain now available these new models for Tyranids and Legion of the Damned for the Space Marines will see some epic battles played out in January 2010.

On a personal note I do have a Tyranid army and I can't wait for some payback on some mates glorious Space Marine and Chaos Space Marine armies. The only thing that can make the Warhammer 40000 even better is the new release of the Warhammer 40k Necron Codex.
