Last year in 2016, the Graduate Management Admission Council conducted a year-end employer poll survey. The findings of this survey indicated that 79% of employers were expected to hire MBA graduates in 2017. This is 11% higher than the percentage of MBA graduates hired last year. As a result of this demand for MBA graduates, the number of students registering for at least one Entrance exam for MBA in India has spiked up as well. With the number of applicants rising by the year, the competition rate in the job market has also surged proportionately.

It is no surprise then that with every coming day, more and more management institutes are popping-up. While it may be a good thing that students have more options when it comes to selecting an MBA college, the ugly side of this upsurge is the dropping quality of education. If you did a quick Google search for the ‘Best MBA colleges in India’, you would get a long list of educational institutes. Some of them would be as new as a gift that was unwrapped just a few minutes ago. In an overcrowded market of business management education institutes (where millions of students ...
... are trying to find a place) one must ask themselves, “Do I really need to be a part of this rat race?”
Here is something to help you answer that question and decide whether you would want to appear for any of the upcoming MBA exams in India:

The ‘No. What About…?’ Dilemma:

In India, nearly every other student is busy making their way into engineering right after clearing their boards. It has outright become a trend of sorts in the last two decades. However, the real reason behind students selecting engineering is primarily the lack of other alternatives to begin with. Some of the best known educational institutes in India are primarily teaching engineering programmes at the under-graduation level itself. As a result, it becomes very easy for students to choose engineering courses on their very first attempt. Clearly, there is no dilemma being observed here when there is barely a choice in the first place to begin with! It is only after graduation here that students really start looking for the best postgraduate courses in India. Let us take a look at why this happens…

Engineering ‘After-life’:

According to a report by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), around 60% of the engineers in India are unemployed. Is this not a truly worrying statistic? It directly points out that the graduation level education system is not producing enough employable resources. It is also an indication that there is a dire need of higher education for the unemployment rates to be brought down.

Enter ‘MBA’:

The advent of MBA education has strengthened the Indian students’ employability. Owing to more and more companies hiring MBA graduates year-on-year, the number of students filling-up the MBA Application Form 2017 has surged up significantly.

The Take-away:

As of now, it is obvious that students in India are looking for a higher education that can truly make them job-ready. Turns out that MBA is the only course that has truly brought them a satisfying career choice.
