Australian Student Visa: Non-award

Among the many Australian visa options available to students is Subclass 575 or the Non-award Sector Visa. This visa for Australia is designed for international students who want to study non-award foundation studies or other full-time courses that do not lead to an Australian award.
Please note however that this visa does not apply to non-award courses that are pre-requisite to other courses or for a Bachelor of Arts degree. If this is the case, the applicant must apply for a Higher Education visa or other applicable visas for Australia.
To be eligible for this Australian visa, the student must be accepted for full-time study in a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). If visa application lodging is done online, the applicant must provide the code from his or her electronic Confirmation of Enrolment. Otherwise, they must provide a copy of the Confirmation of Enrolment or the Letter of Offer.
The financial requirement is also one of the more important factors to consider when applying for this Australia visa. The applicant must be able to ...
... pay for travel, tuition and living expenses for himself and dependents for the entire stay in Australia. Additional eligibility requirements include health requirements, English language skills, academic record and history, character requirements, Australian values statement and more.
This Australia visa can be for first-time visa applicants, those renewing their student visa or those joining family members on a student visa to Australia. This visa can let the holder study in Australia and bring a dependent family member to Australia. Limited work is also permitted under most student visas upon commencement of the course. Student visas granted before April 26, 2008 may require the holder to apply for Permission to Work separately.
This is a multiple entry visa that is valid for the full duration of the student's course. Dependents of this Australian visa may stay in the country for the same length as the principal visa holder. They cannot stay once the visa holder has left Australia.
