Winter 2017 Newsletter

What a day we had at the Funplex! It is always so wonderful for us to be able to make it back up to the
Northeast from Florida to see so many of our camp friends. It warms our hearts watching you jump into
each other’s arms and hearing of the sleepovers the night before. There were so many fun things to do
together and it can’t get any better than spending a day with your camp friends playing arcade games,
riding rides, racing around the go-kart track, challenging each other in laser tag, winning an abundance
of tickets, and hearing about what you have been up to since summer. We enjoyed our pizza lunch and
ice cream sandwiches while watching the camp slideshow and then taking an amazing group photo!
We hope you all loved getting our Lindenmere fuzzy socks and Summer 2016 CD as holiday gifts!
The reunion truly helps the long off season feel shorter and continues to build on one of the most
rewarding communities to be a part of, CAMP. We hope all who came had as great of a day as we
did, and for those of you who couldn’t join us, you were missed! We look forward ...
... to when we are
reunited for summer 2017. NOT LONG NOW!
We are very excited to announce the start of Camp Lindenmere’s L4L Big
Program! It will pertain to first time Junior campers (5th grade and below)
and our Leadership Training campers (11th & 12th grade). This will help our
new campers feel more comfortable to camp and will expand our LTs passion
for camp and opportunity for success as they work towards becoming role
models, future counselors, and young adults.
For first-time Junior campers, parents will be notified of a new form (a
questionnaire) on their CampInTouch. It will provide their future L4L Big with a
little about themselves and the opportunity to ask him/her some questions they
have about camp! Camp will receive the questionnaire and match them with a
great fitting LT to become their L4L Big! We will then be mailing the completed
Junior Camper questionnaire to the chosen L4L Big, and once they have
completed their responses, they will send it back to camp and we will get it to
the Junior camper!
The communication can continue until summer finally arrives! Always send
correspondence directly to camp, and we will get it to your new buddy. Then,
when camp is finally here, we will make sure there is a great opportunity for all
of our L4L BIG participants to meet!
We will be sending emails to all eligible participants with more details
