Despite adhering rigidly to a diet and exercise program, certain areas of body fat often refuse to budge. You will normally be required to wear a girdle and abdominal binder to aid skin contraction and support the operative site for about six weeks after the operation. Postoperative discomfort is minimal and, if necessary, treated with mild analgesia. Any bruising usually disappears in just a few weeks.
