There are various aspects to be considered while selecting a 5 blades spiralizer for your project. The hardness of wood, density of wood and also the complexity of the design are all the things to be considered.
The very first thing you should look at is the complexity of the pattern. You will have to select a blade that is small enough to cut the tight areas of your design without too much hassle. Usually, with density and harder wood, you will want bigger blades but the blade you utilize should be able to turn within the radius of the sharpest corners of your vegetable spiralizer.

Size and number of the Blades
The blade sizes are listed using numbers. The higher the number, the bigger the blade is. The numbers may range from as big as 12 sizes to sizes below zero. Usually, you won’t be requiring anything that’s smaller than number 3, as they are generally considered as jeweler’s blades.

Bigger blades will be both denser and wider and also, on average, have less teeth per inch. There is no standard governing these specifications, but there will be slight variation between manufacturers and also ...
... different series of blades by the same manufacturer.

The size of the blade is not the only thing that affects its ability to turn. Various manufacturing methods make similar looking blades that behave radically different from each other and some experimentation might be necessary to figure out what series or brand of veggie noodle will work best for you. A good instance of this can be seen by the difference between the precision ground (PGT) and the stamped blades. PGT’s are slightly costlier but they start sharper and stay sharp for longer period than the stamped blades. That being said, my favorite blades are stamped and I use them most of the time as I am more comfortable with them and are yet to find another blade that is as simple to control as these.

Types of Blades

There are various types of blades. I will touch on the more common types and also the list of their strength and features.

1. Regular tooth- The basic scroll saw blades. There is a wide array of sizes to select from.

2. Hook Tooth- The teeth have a positive rake and the blade cuts aggressively. It is incredible for denser material.

3. Skip Tooth- It works just like a regular tooth blade but almost half the TPI. It cuts slower and is also better in chip removal. The 5 blades spiralizer will stay cooler.

4. Double Tooth- A hybrid of skip and regular tooth. Teeth are in a group of two followed by a gap.

5. Reverse Tooth- It is just like a regular tooth blade except the last inch of teeth are in the opposite direction. This makes space for cleaner cuts on the back of your work to lessen burrs and the sanding time afterward.
