Care should be taken while purchasing a truck loader, stacker trucks, forklift carriages etc as these are used in risky areas, industrial places, mining and construction areas. There may be scaffoldings, hills, elevated place and other obstacles which may be quite risk to work with. One must be aware of the proper functioning of the stacker trucks and know which one to use for a different nature of work.

Some telescopic trucks are best suited for the most risky area. These can rotate and is suitable even in scaffolding areas. They have additional safety barriers also known as guard plates which are used in the dangerous spots. These telescopic equipments retract in such areas. The driver must ensure that these are intact before the drives it to these areas.

Employees must be made aware when these telescopic conveyors start working. Some kind of alarm system must be installed in order to caution them that it would start to work. It is used for vehicle loading and unloading and is found to be the most flexible one. There are different varieties of these such as mobile vehicle loaders, fixed belt types, fixed roller ...
... booms and flexible conveyors. Some loaders will have a sub frame and wheels in them. This enables them to move it easily as much as required this alleviates the need of a loading dock. There are conveyors with gravity rollers which are installed in one position. All of these are highly flexible and suitable for any application. It is up to you to choose the right one for your nature of work. Gather all the information regarding these items and purchase the right one.

Some are supplied in modular form for easy installation and added flexibility, roller conveyors come in a range of widths. They are available as powered or gravity rollers. If you choose powered you have three drive types - belt under rollers, line shaft and roller drives.

You must have adequate information about these before you set out to buy them. Just because the chances of a construction worker or miner having a work related injury are higher than an office worker or retailer doesn't mean that jobs in professions largely perceived as risk averse are risk free. All jobs pose some form of threat. Seek advice and support to help you make the right choice. If you choose powered type you will have three drive types - belt under rollers, line shaft and roller drives.
