Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has emerged as a surprise target for Everton in the summer transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in British Media (Mirror), Everton are linked with a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

The England international was signed by Arsenal in September 2014 from Manchester United for a fee of 20 million euros. The 26-year-old has a valid contract with Arsenal until June 2019.

Adding a forward remains Everton’s top priority this summer and Ronad Koeman will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.

Ronad Koeman wants to sign a new forward this summer and Danny Welbeck is one ...
... of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a long term admirer of Danny Welbeck and believes he can get the most out of the England international.

Ronad Koeman will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Arsenal forward is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

Everton are desperate to make an impact in this summer transfer window.

The England international will definitely be a good addition to the Everton side, which will be competing in the Europa League next season.

According to the report in British Media, Everton will turn to 35 million euros Danny Welbeck swoop, if they fail to land their primary target Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
