Liposuction Can Resolve Stubborn Fat Pouches
Diet, diet, diet! Exercise until you're exhausted. And still those embarrassing pouches of fat hang from your hips, tummy, back, bottom and thighs! If you are at your wits' end trying to get rid of those unsightly fatty areas that resist diet and exercise, perhaps it's time to explore the potential of liposuction.
Believe it or not, everyone has fat cells, which develop by the end of adolescence. Fat cells will shrink as we lose or gain weight, but they don't go away. What's more, some areas of the body acquire more fat cells than we want there. Possibly because of our family genetic heritage, these areas refuse to respond to our diligent efforts to eat right and exercise regularly.
That's when Liposuction Sydney may be the answer.
The medical procedure known as Liposuction has come a long way from its earliest forms. Today there's a process known as "Tumescent Liposculpture." This advance medical technique permanently removes fat troublesome areas of the body. The process involves injecting fatty areas with a local "tumescent" anesthesia. This solution causes the fat cells to swell (the meaning of "tumescent"), ...
... making it easier for the cosmetic surgeon to sculpt the body into a more appealing shape.
Tumescent Liposculpture let the surgeon penetrate directly into fatty layers in a crisscross pattern to create fine cannulas, or channels, to suction out the fat. After surgery, the patient wears a garment that compresses the skin into its new contours.
This form of Liposuction Sydney permanently removes fat cells. The body doesn't grow new fat cells, so that the remaining fat cells will simply get larger or smaller as weight is gained or lost. The body shape that results from the Liposuction procedure will stay in proportion to the rest of the body.
However, Liposuction shouldn't be regarded as a weight loss technique. This medical procedure can remove as much as 10 percent of a person's body fat, but the best candidates for Liposuction are people of normal weight with specific pockets or areas of localised excess fat. People who are overweight and need fat cell removal for medical reasons sometimes undergo a different procedure call megaliposuction, which is more extensive than the cosmetic process of Tumescent Lipsculpture.
To tell whether you might be a good candidate for Liposuction Sydney, try what's known as "the pinch test." Grasp the skin and fat between forefinger and thumb. If there is an inch or more of tissue between the fingers, then Liposculpture may be right for you. If not, then Liposculpture may not be effective. Furthermore, if you suspect that poor muscle tone is causing your sagging sections, tense the muscle below the skin before trying to pinch test. If the amount of skin tissue grasped is still less than an inch, Liposculture probably won't help.
Liposuction is a day-only medical procedure usually done under a local anesthetic. Patients may request sedation if it helps them undergo the procedure without undue stress. Persons recovering from Liposuction Sydney are typically advised to take four days off work, after which they may return to light duties. Full recovery usually occurs within two weeks.
Can't work off that stubborn tummy roll? New liposuction Sydney procedures can remove those resistant fat cells permanently. For more information on liposuction and how it works, check out Cosmetic Medicine.
