Tips For A Healthier & Glowing Skin With Mineral Salt

Mineral salt is great for controlling blood pressure, strengthening your bones and even improving your sleep. But when it comes to its benefits, one that is often overlooked is its ability to cleanse, nourish and purify your skin.
Since it contains 84 trace minerals that are easily absorbed by the skin, it is a great ingredient to incorporate into your natural skincare regime. Take a look at our top 3 ways to use it for healthier skin.
ACNE TREATMENT
If you suffer from acne, you’ll find that incorporating mineral salt into your skincare regime will significantly help calm your skin and make it healthier. The salt not only draws out the excess sebum, it also acts as a purifier, or disinfectant of sorts.
To target recurring acne, make a potent solution of mineral salt and filtered water. Stir the solution until the salt has dissolved ever so slightly, and then soak a cotton ball in the solution. Apply the solution on your T-zone, or wherever you frequently have bumpy, acne-prone skin, after cleansing your face every night. Sleep with the solution on and rinse it with cold water in the morning.
Over ...
... two weeks, you’ll notice a marked improvement in your acne-prone skin!
NOURISHING SCRUB
Dead skin, dust and grime accumulate on your skin without you even realising it, but it is importantly to deeply cleanse your skin regularly to stop these pollutants from causing blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.
To effectively nourish and cleanse your skin from deep within, make a scrub with finely ground mineral salt, virgin coconut oil, honey and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Massage this onto damp skin gently, in circular motions for 2 minutes before washing it off with hot water.
The salt will help cleanse your skin and remove dead skin cells, while flooding it with minerals. As the honey refines and tightens your skin, the coconut oil will replenish your skin’s moisture levels and the lavender essential oil will soothe it.
SOOTHING TONER
Whether you suffer from large pores or simply want to take care of your skin before you go to bed, this mineral salt toner is sure to become an indispensible part of your nightly skincare routine.
Mix 2 tablespoons of mineral salt with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and half a cup of filtered water. Use a cotton pad to wipe your face with this solution. Not only does the salt dissolve in the vinegar and water and make it easy for your skin to absorb, combined with the vinegar, it also helps maintain your skin’s pH balance. It acts as an astringent and cleanses and shrinks your pores, while disinfecting your skin and improving blood circulation for glowing skin.
