CAT (Common Admission Test) is an entrance test for the admissions in Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). CAT 2017 is approaching in five months and not much time is left. The time has come to analyse and track the performance on a regular basis so that the discrepancies in the performance can be timely corrected and improved well before the final exam. To analyse the performance, it is important to give multiple mock tests.

The students can enroll themselves for the series of mock tests available on the internet. The mock tests will enable the students to become exam ready and will also provide the similar environment as that of the CAT exam. With the help of mock tests, the students can analyse the performance test by test basis. But, how to analyse the performance through the mock test is necessary else the desired outcome would not be possible.

Before commencing to examine the mock test, first, assess the current level of preparation. Note down the areas that you are not pretty much confident about. Construct a strategy of your preparation. Strategy differs person to person so don't just follow the strategy of a topper. Yes, you can take some guidelines by the toppers but which tips need to be inculcated and which do not need to be inculcated should be your own choice. Start giving the tests section wise. If you do not find any section wise test online, don't worry, you can give the full test and analyse the sections separately. Start giving the test one by one and see the mistakes you have committed regarding the time taken, negative marking, and speed of answering. In the consecutive tests, do not commit the same mistake again. Note down the performance figure of the tests and compare test performance with the previous ones.

CAT 2017 notification is expected to be released in the month of August. As not much time left, a smart study can help a candidate to sail through the exam in less period.
