Super head cleaner system is incorporates in all the Sony DDS drives. It helps to eliminate the need for periodic use of cleaning tape cartridge. This new innovative system prohibits accumulation of debris and contaminants, thus resulting in an astonishing MTBF of 250,000 hours. Sony DDS drives use the helical-scan technology, which provides excellent performance and helps to reduce media wear.
