Wayanad is a rural district of India, located on the southern tip of the Deccan Plateau amidst the majestic Western Ghats, in north-east Kerala. It is one of the sparsely populated regions of India and a great place to enjoy a peaceful and soothing break far away from hustle and bustle of modern cities. Wayanad although a rural region enjoys great popularity among the tourist circle that throng to the region religiously to enjoy a moment of bliss and tranquility amidst the rich natural surroundings of the region. Wayanad offers tourists a rare glimpse of Indian rural life and the simplicity of life offered in the region.
