How about we make you realize your dream of having a studio at home in a few easy steps. No extra costs, no hidden charges, no terms and conditions. Just you, your camera, equipment’s and a room. Sounds interesting, right?

But, lets keep the good part for later and make you understand a few things about your equipment.

Your camera is broadly divided into two major parts:

1) Hardware: They physical elements that you touch belong to this category.

2) Software: Different modes or options which control your hardware and let you manage different functionalities.

It is mandatory that you know what all do these categories consist of. Even if it’s boring, you do not really have a choice. Also, whenever you attend digital photography tutorials, you should either be very well versed with the basics or should start the course from scratch.

Lets dive into the hardware details in this article:

1) Viewfinder: the one that lets you look at the scenes and objects you want to make your subject. You can also use the LCD screen for ...
... this purpose if you want.

2) Lens: A combination of different concave and convex lenses that let light enter into your camera and let you capture the object.

3) Aperture: The diaphragm in the lens is called the aperture. You can change the size of the aperture to decide how much light should enter the lens.

4) Shutter: The light passing falls on the shutter and reflects to the viewfinder so that the viewer can see the image to be captured. When clicking, this light falls on the sensor and helps capture the image.

5) Sensor: This is where the actual game is played and light rays are converted into electrical signals. Its time to bow down to it.

Now that we've spent a decent amount of time understanding the basics, let's convert your room into a studio. Having a studio at home can have multiple benefits. You can do whatever you want at the pace you want and there is really very less money involved. The biggest concern that a lot of people have is space. However, with a home studio, you don't need to worry about it. Starting from table top productions to other types of detailed formats, you can venture into whatever you like.

Following are the elements that you need:

Photo tables: Also known as still light tables, these are a must to do this job. They are used to light the products properly for being photographed.

Laminate: The decorative sheet that is atop most of the tables. It is available in multiple colors but white ones and those with woody grain finish are the most effective.

Light: Set you tables and then move forward with the adjustment of the lights. There are two types of lights available – continuous and flash. You can also use an electronic flash.

Light modifiers and light tents are also two things you can consider and see if you would like to use them.

To understand better, you can also enroll into different digital photography courses in India and let your creativity open up with like-minded people and different industry experts.
