What does antipasto consist of? The variety is endless. One can either have Vegetable antipasto, or Meat and Cheese antipasto. Don’t get confused by the names. Vegetable antipasto does not guarantee you a strictly vegetarian dish, it just means that the vegetarian elements will be more than you would get in the alternative. However, if you wish opt for a strictly vegetarian antipasto, there’s no reason that you shouldn’t have one. Meat and Cheese antipasto consists of variety of cheese including parmesan and mozzarella, different salamis, prosciutto, chorizo, etc. Keep in mind that certain salamis make better options than others. Dry salami with wine, herbed salami, pepper salami and a few more make the ideal options for an antipasto.
