HTC Touch Pro is another windows mobile phone after original Touch Pro which is a powerful device that delivers what it promises. The phone features a tilting screen which is very impressive to use. It has a smoky mirrored finish and attractive silver casing which makes the design sturdy and solid. HTC Touch Pro 2 measures 116 x 5.2 x 16.65mm and weighs 178.5g. You can't probably fit this phone in your skinny jeans as it feels slightly heavier on the hand.

The 3.6 inches WVGA touch screen is surely a winner for HTC Touch Pro 2. With a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, it displays brilliant colors and images. The screen is very well designed that it is comfortable to view web pages, documents and emails without any hassle. The built-in accelerometer is available to change orientation with certain applications . As the touch screen is comparatively responsive, you need to be precise and make gentle taps while selecting icons on the screen. Below the display, you will find a bar which allows you zoom in and out. If you prefer using the stylus, then you can gently use the interface as you wish. Below the screen, there are ...
... a couple of hardware keys for talk and a menu launcher along with back button.

You need to slide the screen to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard. The sliding motion is not very smooth and requires a little push, which means that your phone won't accidentally slide. The screen can be positioned at an angle convenient for you with the hinges on the back. The buttons on the keyboard are quite broad and you can conveniently use your large fingers with the keyboard. There are also app shortcuts on the keyboard and using those is a real pleasure.

A 3.2MP camera is present in HTC Touch Pro 2, but the picture quality is poor. Even with a handful of picture editing tools, the camera is not superior. The video quality is also not satisfactory, but it is a fairly good camera to take pictures on the go. The Windows media player supports different types of audio formats. The video player is satisfactory and there is an app to stream YouTube videos.

The HTC Touch Pro 2 is furnished with classic TouchFlo 3D interface like its Diamond predecessors. The start menu is presented with grid view, but you can go ahead and customize the menu by adding and deleting items you want. The proximity sensor locks the phone automatically as you talk. Speed dialing, smart dialing and voice commands are interesting features for the mobile phone. HTC Touch Pro 2 supports both EDGE networks and 3G networks. Wi-Fi is also available and so, connecting to internet is simpler than ever.

Straight talk is a new communication technology that receives accolade in HTC Touch Pro 2. You can easily integrate messaging, emailing and conference calling, which is definitely a boon for business users. The onscreen dialer is simple to use and making calls is much easier. The performance of HTC Touch Pro 2 in terms of call quality is much better and there will be no call drop outs even with minimal coverage. SMS, MMS and emailing features are very useful and handy.

GPS is expected in almost all smart phones and HTC Touch Pro 2 won't disappoint you. QuickGPS application becomes quite handy for travelers who get lost frequently during their travel. Preloaded Google Maps makes the travel applications complete in HTC Touch Pro 2. HTC Touch Pro 2 effectively uses Windows mobile 6.1 operating system and the applications are fairly good to use. Standard Microsoft office mobile suite comes along with this phone, which is useful for business applications.
