<description>The Indian Standards Institute (BIS) has clarified implementation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for various footwear products like sandals, slippers, Hawaiian shoes etc. from July 2023 as part of mandatory BIS certification for footwear. These QCOs will be subject to the Quality Control Order for All Kinds of Rubber and Polymeric Materials and Parts thereof, 2022, and Quality Control Order for Leather and Other Materials, 2022. These OCCs came into effect on July 1, 2023.</description>
