NACE offers over 100 home study courses (many of which are online courses) for psychologists, social workers, marriage and family counselors, and substance abuse counselors. There are two types of home study courses: those that are mailed to you for completion and those that are completed online. NACE is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. NACE CME activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the ACCME. Many NACE CME activities are also approved for Prescribed Credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. NACE staff is members of the Alliance for CME (ACME). We are an approved provider of continuing education by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses (WVBRN), Provider Number WV2007-0507RN. NACE is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor psychology continuing education for psychologists. NACE maintains responsibility for this program and its content and is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors.
