At Poker-Freeroller.com we are aware of these cons and we have tried to reduce all three perspectives and we sometimes have freerolls with less than 10 players.
Free Poker Money
This is one of the newer ways to attract new customers. Earlier there was the concept of free bankrolls where often you would have to do some fundamental tests so you could prove you were a good enough poker player to receive the free bankroll. Today things have changed some poker sites are just handing over money to new poker players. It is not the most common used promotion type yet but it has attracted a lot of new players so I don't think this kind of promotions is going away soon.
Pros:

Cons:

-In order to cash out you will have some kind of limitation regarding how many poker points or whatever the company names them. This is done as the poker rooms wants to give you money to spend – not just cash out – that would be very bad business for them.
No Deposit Bonus
A no deposit bonus is when you receive some bonus dollars you will be available to receive when you start playing real money games. This is in my opinion the weakest of the three free poker promotion types. But in combination with the freeroll promotions it might turn out to be a quite strong promotion.
Pros:
-You get a bonus waiting for you without having to worry about depositing
-When you win money from the Freerolls you will have the possibility to get extra free money from the no deposit bonuses.
Cons:
-You have to win real money from other promotions in order to use the no deposit bonuses.(read
