Prvs For Reversible Building Ventilation   By: susanna terlitskaia
Recirculators are designed for use in commercial and industrial applications where there is suffiicient ceiling height to create a temperature differential between the floor and the ceiling. These applications include factories, warehouses and large commercial buildings.(read entire article)

Industrial Roof Ventilator Fans   By: susanna terlitskaia
Deep mines, underwater tunnels, and other subterranean and submarine environments require elaborate mechanically operated systems for maintaining the air supply in a healthful condition. The lives of those working in, or traveling through, such areas depend upon a constant supply of fresh air; not only must the systems used be highly efficient, but there should be provision for emergencies in case of failure of the apparatus in operation. An outgrowth of studies of problems of ventilation is the development of methods of air conditioning heat pump is a reversible device that does mechanical work to extract heat from a cooler place and deliver heat to a warmer place. The heat delivered to the warmer place is, approximately, the sum of the original heat and the work done.(read entire article)

Inline Axial Ventilator   By: susanna terlitskaia
Once the volume of airflow and the static pressure of the system are known, it is possible to specify a fan. The governing principle in fan selection is that any given fan can only deliver one flow at one pressure in a given system. To select a fan one must consider the following parameters: - total airflow required - total operating pressure - fan installation space.(read entire article)

High Pressure Fan System   By: susanna terlitskaia
Series connected blower installations are often used to meet performance ranges beyond normal single stage blower capacities. For systems that require high ststic pressure, and especially high pressure TOGETHER with high temperature (where standard multi stage, positive displacement, screw, or regenerative type blowers can not be used) series of single stage centrifugal blowers can be used. Many times additional blower in the system can be advantageous. For instance, where two blowers are operating in series and one breaks down, the other may be able to "limp" the system along while the necessary maintenance is performed. Having on blower continue in operation can often allow limited production while the other is being repaired. Also, there are cases where having one blower continue in operation could prevent or at least minimize system or equipment damage from such things as high temperature ot contaminated airstreams.(read entire article)

Regenerative Blowers And Super High Pressure Fans   By: susanna terlitskaia
The major benefit of a regenerative blower is its lack of maintenance and monitoring requirements. The impeller is the only moving part and is wear free and does not come in contact with the housing channels. Self-lubricated bearings are the only parts that wear.(read entire article)

Explosion Proof Pressure Blowers   By: susanna terlitskaia
Consider the potential consequence if an industrial tool is dropped and strikes the blade or propeller of an exhaust / ventilation fan in use. With in a non-hazardous atmosphere, the risk for an explosion is minimal. However, if the same tool strikes the exposed, steel surfaces of a fan operating in a hazardous location containing gasoline fumes, the results could be drastically different. The blow produced by the tool could create a random spark. In the case of gasoline fumes, the addition of a proper air and gasoline fume mixture could result in an explosion. Minimizing this potential for a spark ignition is also an important reason to use spark proof tools and related equipment in hazardous locations. By incorporating basic spark proof blade / motor construction, the potential for a spark-ignited explosion caused by a direct blow is greatly minimized. The use of an explosion proof motor alone, or an aluminum blade / propeller, does not qualify the fan as "explosive proof". IMPORTANT! No air exhaust / ventilation fan is totally explosion proof. Only a product utilizing proper design and certification standards can minimize the risk of an explosion in an applicable hazardous atmosphere.(read entire article)

Fans For Sulfur Industries   By: susanna terlitskaia
H2S Hydrogen Sulfide is a major contaminant - a source of sulfur. In high concentrations it can be lethal. It occurs in natural gas, oil, volcanic emissions, and some mineral springs. In oil refining processes its presence is undesirable, and it must be removed. The Clause process is one of the methods used to remove the hydrogene sulphide, and while doing so, recover elementary sulfur.(read entire article)

Building Cooling And Ventilating   By: susanna terlitskaia
American Blowers Co. offer quite a few techniques of efficient building ventilation and cooling. In industrial plants where there is a high density of employees and many manual operations involved, an improvement in the environment can produce substantial benefits in terms of increased production, reduced errors, and a decline in complaints and absenteeism among employees. In other circumstances, the attentiveness of an audience or student group may be a factor that spells success or failure for the project.(read entire article)
