After a Taiwanese consortium and a Dutch telecom company, Chinese commercial and real estate giant Dalian Wanda Group has now expressed interest in investing in Greater Noida, by venturing into lifestyle and commercial real estate. Dalian Wanda is the biggest private property developer in China, apart from being the world's largest cinema chain operator, with assets worth $86 billion. The representatives of the Chinese company enquired if 500 acres of contiguous land along the expressway could be available. The Hemisphere group, a conglomerate of companies, operates in four major areas — commercial property, luxury hotels, culture and tourism, and department stores. This was their first visit to Greater NOIDA and was on a fact-finding tour to explore investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. The visiting delegation promised to return with specific investment and a consolidated proposal for setting up a mixed land-use township. Earlier, a Taiwanese consortium and a Dutch telecommunications company had shown interest in investing in Greater Noida.
An Authority official said that the area adjacent to the Yamuna expressway is attracting interest for large-scale projects with land availability in Noida becoming limited and that it could become a hub for integrated townships and other mixed-land use projects. The Dutch internet service and telephony provider is scouting for 200 acres of land to set up an IT manufacturing unit in the city's electronic manufacturing cluster. Greater Noida is the fastest growing & bustling township of Delhi NCR as it witnesses rapid development in infrastructure. The region has started to take shape as one of the most happening cities of India. Investment in Greater Noida is picking up more as it takes shape as a hotspot for property investors. Development plans for Greater Noida region has come as a boon to the real estate investors, and a number of residential and commercial projects by top developers are lined up for completion.
All major builders, such as DLF Ltd, Eldeco Group, and Raheja Builders Ltd are developing projects in this region. Upcoming builders, such as Amrapalli, Exotica, Mahagun, Mahalaxmi, Lotus, have also entered this residential real estate market.

GROWING MARKET AND INDUSTRIES: Various reputed brands such as Wipro, Honda, Moser Baer, Escorts, Pepsi, etc. have already acquired spaces here, and property developers are exploring for land banks here, boosting the pace of Industrial development. A number of developments have taken place and some are still under progress, putting Greater Noida on the top of the property charts.
JAYPEE SPORTS CITY: The upcoming Jaypee Sports City on Yamuna Expressway is a fully integrated project with an international cricket stadium. The Buddha International Circuit of GRENO hosted the inaugural Formula 1 race, which was a major reason of enthrallment for a throng of people.
