The first court hearing that would tackle the issues regarding the failures of their previous car models is set to start in 2013. This would just be the start of series of litigations that would examine all of the lawsuits that were filed against Toyota since 2010. These cases were brought about by the injuries, damages, and death caused by different expensive and cheap new car models produced and included on the company’s new car prices list malfunctions.

Although Toyota has recalled almost all of their vehicles with defects, most of these have already caused injuries, deaths, and damages to individuals involved in different accidents. One of the first accidents which caused Toyota to pay for the damages and injuries involved on the incident last November 5, 2010 was the case involving Paul Van Alfen who died after crashing his 2008 Toyota Camry on a wall. Alfen’s passenger Charlene Lloyd died after the actual crash due to the injuries she suffered.

This particular case was only one of the ...
... incidents which involved faulty Toyota vehicles. Most of the malfunctions were characterized by the vehicle’s uncontrolled acceleration which caused a lot of accidents to Toyota car owners as well as the other car occupants. Up to this time, most of these incidents were not yet settled and the trial on February 2013 would mark the series of court proceedings involving the world’s largest car maker in terms of number of units produced.

Despite all of these blunders, Toyota still hopes that their sales for this year would still increase. This is because they are doing their best to recall the models that were proven to be defective. Aside from this, Toyota is also doing everything to make sure that the vehicles they produce are safer and comfortable. In addition to this, they are also offering the best auto loans that they could provide to ensure the welfare of their customers.

Given these, Toyota views the upcoming trial and all of the court proceedings that would come after as a good way to settle the issues confronting them. In addition to this, the results of the court proceedings would also lead the company to develop safer and reliable vehicle models.
