The rivalry and competition among car makers at present is getting more and more exciting. This is because the competition provided a lot of benefits to most expensive and cheap new car buyers. These benefits include more advanced gadgets installed on the car, well-designed exteriors, spacious interiors, and best new car deals or budget-friendly auto loans offered by car makers. However, one of the most significant benefits that the rivalry between auto makers has provided to the growing number of car finders is offering vehicles that are more fuel-efficient.

A good example of this is Ford’s introduction of its first ever 1.0liter 3-cylinder engine. This engine is expected to be very fuel-efficient compared to the most popular 4-cylinder version. Given this fact, the 1.0 3-cylinder engine could allow car buyers who would be buying a Ford-made vehicle with this engine to earn greater savings on their fuel expenses.

In connection to this, Ford plans to use this ...
... 3-cylinder engine on most of its smaller car models to make each one of these more environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient. Although Ford has not yet announced its particular plan for the smallest engine that they have created, most of the car experts believe that this would probably used by the company to power some of its smaller vehicles such as the Ford Fiesta and the Ka. The primary reason for Ford’s withholding of important information as to where the 3-cylinder engine would be used is because the company plans to announce the details at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.

However, the engine’s capacity is viewed to be appropriate for Ford models such as the Fiesta and Ka since these are smaller and lightweight. The speculations that the 3-cylinder engine would be used on smaller cars since it is weaker compared to the traditional 4-cylinder version eventually circulated. But all of these were denied by Ford. The company assured the public that this engine is as strong as the 4-cylinder and also capable of propelling the vehicle at desirable speeds. The good thing is that the 3-cylinder engine is more-fuel efficient. Due to this, Ford vehicles with this engine can be a good option for those who are after for better fuel-economy.
