Preparing for O-Level Chinese? Zhou’s Academic Studio (ZAS) offers focused Chinese O-Level Classes and structured learning support for Secondary 1–5 students aiming to improve their grades in GCE O-Level Chinese and Higher Chinese.

What we cover
Our O-Level Chinese programme follows the latest SEAB syllabus for Chinese (1160) and Higher Chinese (1116), covering all examinable components: composition, comprehension, summary writing, oral communication and listening comprehension. Lessons are designed to build both language proficiency and exam technique, so students can handle school-based assessments and the national O-Level exam with confidence.

O-Level Chinese classes
Composition & Continuous Writing: Training in essay structure, idea development, vocabulary and 成语 usage tailored to common O-Level themes such as challenges, values and social issues.

Comprehension & Summary: Step-by-step strategies for locating answers, paraphrasing accurately and writing concise summaries within word limits.

Oral Communication: Practice for reading aloud and video-based conversation, ...
... with emphasis on clear pronunciation, fluent expression and well-organised responses.

Listening Comprehension: Regular exposure to exam-style audio passages and question types to improve accuracy under timed conditions.

Learning support at ZAS
Beyond regular classes, ZAS provides targeted learning support to address individual gaps:

Diagnostic checks: Short assessments to identify weak areas in grammar, vocabulary, writing or oral skills.

Personalised feedback: Teachers mark compositions and comprehension scripts with specific comments and correction codes so students know exactly what to improve.

Progress tracking: Parents receive updates on key milestones such as oral readiness, composition band and comprehension accuracy.

Small groups, exam focus
Classes are kept small to allow more individual attention and frequent speaking practice. Teachers use past-year papers, school-type questions and timed drills to build speed, accuracy and exam stamina. Many students move from D/E grades towards B3–A1 within 6–9 months of consistent attendance.
