Teach Your Kid Creative Visualization for STEM Education & Career
The key to success in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics is creativity. It is a STEM virtue.
STEM education, especially robotics for kids and coding for kids, requires kids to apply problem-solving and experimenting skills to develop prototypes that will solve a problem
Doing this requires applying imagination on the part of the kids. However, with creative visualisation, kids can also apply their imagination to solve life problems and get what they want.
Navigating a STEM career is no easy task; kids will need the ability to visualise creatively. Not just for kids, creative visualisation can work equally well for adults to enrich the quality of their personal life.
What is Creative Visualisation?
Creative visualisation is the practice of utilising your imagination to make the things you desire to happen in your life. Creative imagery is nothing unique, novel, or out of the ordinary.
We already use it every minute of every day. Whether or not you are aware of it, we continuously use ...
... our innate capacity for imagination, which is the fundamental source of creativity.
Imagination is the capacity to formulate a new idea, a mental picture or a feeling sense of something.
A distinct image, idea, or sensation of what you want to materialise is created in creative visualisation by using your imagination. This image is turned into reality when we keep feeding it with our attention through thought, emotion and positive energy.
Usage
To use creative visualisation, you don't need to subscribe to metaphysical or spiritual beliefs but be open to the thought that some ideas might be actual. You don't have to "believe" in any force outside of yourself.
The only prerequisites are a willingness to expand your knowledge and experience and an open mind that allows you to attempt something new confidently.
It entails investigating, identifying, and altering our fundamental attitudes on life. It is why developing creative visualisation skills may be a profoundly transformative experience.
Creative visualisation can be applied for goals at any level - physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Any level of work you put in will produce results. You might see yourself in a new house, a new job, a fulfilling relationship, at peace and tranquilly, or perhaps with better memory and learning skills. You may also visualise yourself handling a challenging circumstance with ease, or you could imagine yourself as a beautiful entity brimming with love and light.
How It works
We always start the process of creating something by thinking it through. Invariably, a thought or idea comes before its actualisation. "I believe I'll make dinner" is the thought that comes before preparing a meal.
Any notion or thought you have while retaining it in your head has the power to attract and give rise to that form in the material realm.
Moreover, thoughts and feelings have their magnetic energy. It's also essential to understand that energy of a particular quality or vibration will draw energy of similar quality.
It entails investigating, identifying, and altering our fundamental attitudes on life. It is why developing creative visualisation skills may be a profoundly transformative experience.
We always draw into our lives whatever we most strongly believe in, most deeply anticipate, and most vividly envisage.
How to visualise
It's not required to see pictures in your head to visualise something. Some kids may close their eyes and not see anything. It's normal.
Some are more kinesthetic, while others are more auditory or visually focused. It's difficult for anyone not to use their imagination regularly. Thus whatever process they choose to envision is alright.
In actuality, creative vision involves two distinct modalities. One is open, and the other is engaged. When we are in the receptive phase, we unwind and let images or impressions come to us without making any decisions about
These two procedures are crucial components of imaginative imagery. They; we accept what is given. We deliberately select and produce what we want to see or envision in the active state.
Problem in Visualizing
Sometimes someone feels like they "can't do it" because they have entirely inhibited their ability to picture or imagine. If the individual experiencing the difficulties wants to fix the issue, they can push through this type of block, which typically results from fear.
Most of the time, a person's inability to employ creative visualisation is caused by a dread of what he might find and fear of his hidden sentiments and emotions.
Steps for Effective Creative Visualisation
Creative visualisation involves four steps:
1. Set your goal
Choose an objective you want to achieve, strive for, accomplish, or develop. It can relate to any project, job or personal life. The goal can also be of any level, including a change in oneself, higher prosperity, a brighter outlook, or better health.
Start with more manageable goals that are possible to be achieved soon. With practice, then you can move to higher goals.
2. Create a Clear Mental Picture
Create a mental image, an idea, or a sensation of the thing or circumstance precisely as you want it. It should be conceived of as already existing in the desired state in the present tense. visualise yourself in the selected case now and give as many specifics as you can
3. Focus on it often
Bring your concept or mental image to mind frequently during contemplative moments and haphazardly throughout the day. In this way, it becomes a seamless aspect of your existence, a greater reality for you, and you can better protect it.
Concentrate on it intently but in a light, carefree manner. It's critical to avoid feeling as though you are exerting excessive effort or effort into it because this tends to hinder rather than help.
4. Give it Positive energy.
Think positively and motivate thoughts about your goal as you concentrate on it. See yourself receiving or achieving it. Make firm declarations of your existence and that it has reached or is currently reaching you.
Affirmations are these powerful words of affirmation. Try to momentarily put aside any questions or disbelief while using affirmations and practise gaining the sense that what you want is extremely real and achievable.
Generally speaking, creative vision comes effortlessly, and the more you do it, the more natural it gets. Saying affirmations may be easier and more effective if visualisation is challenging for you. Learning environment in schools, STEM field careers are only some of the areas that kids and adults can apply this.
