Many businesses have an ISO 45001-based OH&S management system that includes both an OH&S manual and an OH&S policy. Many employees, stakeholders, and sometimes even the person in charge of developing the manual and regulations themselves seemed to be confused about what is mandatory and what is not, as well as what the contents of each should be. • Understanding of the OH&S legislation: Compliance with OH&S requirements is essential, and this can be detailed in a better context in the manual rather than the policy. A significant aspect of the OH&S Manual is explaining how the components of mandates influence the organization and how they will be addressed.
