Sika® Rustoff 100 is a special component that helps to remove rust and also protects steel structures from the risk of future corrosion by providing a polishing coating.
Sika Rustoff-100 is easy to apply, is in liquid form and allows rust removal and prevents further rusting of steel structures by providing a passivating coat. The affected metal surface is applied with a brush, cotton swab or spray gun. Can be used on various steel structures such as new or old reinforcing steel in construction, steel embedded in repairable structures, tanks, water pipelines, flow pipelines, trusses, purlins, rafters, ball bearings, valves, tools. Method of Application: Apply Sika Rustoff-100 to the affected metal surface by brush, cotton swab or spray. Allow it to remain in contact with the surface until the reddish color of the rusted surface changes to that of the near original. Overuse can sometimes cause a white to black surface. After at least 24 hours, brush off the rubbed rust particles. Any reddish rusted surfaces will still need to be treated with Sika Rustoff-100 after the loose rust has been removed.
