Everest is a leader in the design, construction and implementation of central vacuum supplies. These vacuum systems are used in various locations around the world. There are many operating principles that can be used to generate vacuum in individual pump modules. Dry-compressing vacuum modules can also be used in vacuum systems that use dry screw pumps. These central vacuum supply systems are valued for their clean exhaust air that is completely free from contaminants. They also appreciate the low maintenance required, energy-efficient operation, high pumping speeds, fine vacuum levels and flexibility of adjustments to suit process needs.

If multiple machines or processes require vacuum, it is worth considering a central vacuum system in the plant. We can create complex vacuum systems for multiple applications using the Dry screw pump. These vacuum systems can be used when exhaust air must be clean or when it is necessary to avoid contamination of the pump medium with an operating fluid. This includes house vacuums that are generated in research and development, laboratories, production areas, or areas of high hygiene ...
... such as the pharmaceutical industry.

EV adapts the design for such a central vacuum system (Fig. 1) according to the application. Dry pumps are the main modules. Their working principle doesn't require any operating fluids. These vacuum systems can be adjusted to achieve the desired pumping speed by choosing the right size and number of dry screw vacuum pumps. It is also possible to increase vacuum level and pumping speed cost-effectively by using vacuum boosters

The vacuum pump's pumped medium is compressed between the screw chambers and cylinder, then transported to the gas outlet. The screws and housing have a very narrow clearance so that individual components don't touch. The compression chamber is free from friction. Unimpeded gas discharge and the newly designed screw profile ensure uniform temperature distribution throughout the pump body. This results in a lower thermal load, and a longer service life.

Dry screw vacuum pumps require less motor power than either oil-lubricated vacuum pumps, or liquid ring vacuum pumps. Dry screw vacuum pump can be fitted with a frequency controlled motor that allows for demand-driven operation. This could result in significant energy savings compared to a central vacuum supply. Each vacuum pump in a decentralized vacuum supply must be designed to meet the highest demand at each consumer. In practice, however, vacuum consumers rarely require the same maximum power. The central vacuum system control limits the number of vacuum pumps that can be operated to meet the actual demand. These can be turned off even more by frequency control. Central vacuum systems can save up to 60% on energy by using dry vacuum technology and demand driven control.

There are energy savings and a reduction of operating costs. Maintenance is cut to a minimum due to contact-free operation. The gear oil only needs to be changed once per year or every 6000 hours. Dry Vacuum pumps are water-cooled. This allows for easy utilization of pump waste heat. For example, all vacuum pumps can be connected to a common cooling circuit and cooled by a heat exchanger. This will generate warm water for use in other parts of the plant.

Each application and each site's specific circumstances must be considered when designing central vacuum systems. EV specialists have many years' experience in designing and supply of such systems in many industries.
