Simple & Robust with Controllable Performance for Tank Mixing Ejectors
Tank Mixing Eductors are operated by a flow of pressure liquid through the nozzle. The motive liquid entrains suction liquid, the two are mixed intimately in the venturi, and the mixture is discharged into the tank. Pressure liquid can be taken from the tank by means of a pump or it can be a new liquid. Jet Mixers or Tank Mixing Ejectors are a specially adapted ejector technology for tank stirring, agitation of tank contents and for Introduction of chemicals & solid powders in the tank
Storage tanks in the Industry typically need the following add-ons for effective functioning:
Agitation and Stirring: If the tank contents have a sludge forming tendency, the tank contents have to be stirred and agitated continuously to avoid sludge formation and sludge settling.
Mixing: In process tanks, the contents have to be intimately mixed for carrying out effective reactions.

Heating & Cooling of the Tank contents.

Working of Tank Mixing Ejectors:
Tank Mixing Ejectors are based on the Jet-Venturi effect and transfer the kinetic energy of high velocity liquid jet to the tank contents for agitation and mixing the tank contents. A suitable bypass flow is taken from the tank and supplied to a motive pump. The pump pressurizes the motive liquid which is supplied to the jet mixers. Jet Mixers are installed inside the tank and the pressurized liquid (motive) from the pump is supplied to the mixer through the connecting pipelines.
The Mixers convert the high pressure motive liquid into a high velocity jet in the nozzle. The conversion of high pressure motive liquid into a high velocity jet creates a low pressure zone inside the mixer. The low pressure zone sucks the tank contents inside the mixer. The entrained liquid then mixes with the high velocity motive jet. The mixing leads to transfer of energy and momentum to the liquid from the tank. This mixing of the sucked flow and motive flow inside the Jet Mixer is critical and mainly responsible for the excellent mixing characteristic exhibited by the Jet Mixers compared to directly introducing high velocity motive flow inside the tank.
The circulation created inside the tank and the turbulence produced during the interaction (between the discharged mixture from the jet Mixer and the liquid inside the tank) leads to intimate mixing, agitation and stirring.
