In the last few years, Internet banking has made the life of ordinary people easy. Now, Anyone sitting at home finishes his work related to Banking Services with ease. For this, they do not have to waste hours in long lines by going to the bank. However, as a bank customer, you should be careful with these facilities. In today’s time, many problems related to online banking are also increasing rapidly. In such a situation, it is important for you as a customer to be cautious and careful, otherwise, You may lost all your money in minutes.

To avoid cases of online fraud (Banking Fraud), the Country’s largest bank has written on its official site that customers should always be cautious about any E-mail and SMS in the name of a bank. SBI has written on its website, ‘SBI, Other financial institutions and any credit card company do not confirm the information of customers through e-mail.’ Customers should contact their bank through the same number, which they have got a credible source.

You should take these steps immediately after being fraudulent online:

1.When you come to know that the information related to your bank account is being misused, you should immediately inform police.

2.Call your bank or credit card company and tell them to block the account or card.

3.Inform the bank or credit card company about the fraud that happened to you. You can request to set up a fraud alert from that.

4.Also, try to change your password from a digital point, so that wrong bank account or credit card cannot be misused in near future.

5.During the complaint about fraud, you should also have a copy of the last six months statement, SMS or email related to the fraud.

6.According to the rules of the Reserve Bank, the bank should report within three days about the case of fraud through scamming. You will not be harmed by doing this. If you inform within 7 days of fraud, your liability in this case will be limited.

7.According to RBI rules, if you have informed the bank of any such fraud in time, then the bank should put your money in the bank account within 10 days. Dispute related to this matter should also be settled within 90 days.
