While coronavirus is a non-fatal disease, it can cause numerous side effects and complications, which can make a dog’s life miserable. Therefore, vaccinate your dogs on time to prevent this common disease.
Rabies is the most common and yet the most dangerous disease amongst dogs. It spreads from one infected dog to another through biting. Rabies affects the central nervous system quickly. If not treated on time, rabies can cause acute paralysis or even death. Therefore, make sure your dogs receive timely vaccination on rabies. In case they come in contact with it, immediately take them to a vet, even if they were vaccinated before. Some of the symptoms of rabies include fever, paralysis, seizures, dropped jaw, and unusual aggression.
4. Canine distemper
An extremely contagious and viral disease, canine distemper is the most closely related disease to measles amongst pets. It forms on the tonsils and lymph nodes of dogs and affects their gastrointestinal, respiratory, urogenital, and nervous systems. While there is no complete cure for canine distemper, proper vaccination and treatment can accelerate the recovery.
