Umrah Checklist 2020

Making arrangements to pack for the things you might need in a foreign country is a situation that requires effort. You need to consider a large number of things including the weather conditions in the alien country as well as the clothing that is allowed in that country, things that you might need during the journey is important to you and that won’t be easily available, etc. Many pilgrims for the House of Allah, particularly the women who mostly make packing arrangements at home before leaving for the sacred pilgrimage, find themselves in a state of worry while doing so. Below mentioned is a checklist of items that are necessarily needed while performing Umrah:

o Ahram (at least three pairs as one can be either torn during the laborious task of Umrah or get dirty during the crowded rituals of Umrah)
o Towels (it is always advised to take your own towel with you as the basic purpose of the pilgrim are prayers and Ibadah in which cleanliness, ablution, and wudu are required)
o An Umbrella (Arabia is a deserted land the climate is often humidly accompanied by unexpected rains which may cause irritation while Tawwaf, Sayee or other rituals of Umrah)
o Pair of Sleepers
o Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste mouth wash if necessary
o Shampoo & Soap( for ablution and maintaining the standards of cleanliness)
o Few packs of biscuits and other dry food items (to energize yourself during various rituals of Umrah)
o A packet of tissues and Toilet Tissue Roll (may help you in humid environment)
o Alarm Clock( to remind you of prayer timings so you might not miss out the pleasure of Ibadah)
o Basic Medicines Disprin, Ponstan, Strepsils, Cough Syrup, Immodium (which might be needed in case of headache, injury or for first aid treatment)
o Face and hands washing soap, detergent and a cloth washing Soap (to keep yourself and your clothes neat and tidy)
o One or 2 Cups and glasses (you might need during a stay at various holy spots)
o Few pairs of socks (as it is part of hijab for women)
o Nail Cutter (to cut your nails which is a Sunnah of Prophet PBUH)
o Scissors (might be needed for clothing any injury)
o A small Knife for cutting fruits (Keep this in your big luggage, not in hand Luggage)
o Camera and Sufficient batteries take extra batteries (Keep this in your big luggage, not in hand Luggage)
o A prayer mat (to offer prayer if you are far from any mosque)
o One or two Extra Travel Bags this is for when you go to someplace for a longer period or for bringing gifts on way back.
o Some Extra Packed Juices of soft drinks are available but it is better to have one or two in your bag as well.
o Face cream or cold cream or petroleum jelly as it is very hot but due to Air-conditioning it is also very dry.
o Tea Bags and Water Heater for making tea

A journey can become difficult if the necessary things are not taken along and especially in case of Umrah, which has the purpose of getting the pleasure of performing a beautiful supererogatory prayer i.e a visit to the House of Allah, above mentioned things should be necessarily considered to make out the most of your sacred journey.
