Workplace which has a casual environment generally follows neither to be overdressed nor to be underdressed. For instance, organizations such as IT industries prefer to wear less formal dress code or business casuals. Likewise, startup-like environments also consider casuals or business casuals.

Leading recruiter monitors the dress code selected by the candidate while they are entering for the interview. Selecting a casual interview dress code for females is a complicated task. Therefore, the following guidelines suggested by the best employment agency will help you to choose the right attire.

Top wear:

Shirts and tops: Full/half-sleeve shirts are best to wear for a casual interview. Shirts with simple or no design are more preferable. You can also choose tops for casual, but, ensure that the top has a comfortable fit.

Dresses: Straight-fit dresses in solid colors are the best casual dress code for females. Make sure to choose a comfortable fit dress, instead of wearing a body-hugging.

Sweaters and cardigans: Sweaters, cardigans, or jackets are considered as optional. If candidates want to wear them, then solid patterns over bright colors are preferred.

Suits or kurtas: These are traditional Indian wear which is mostly opted in south Asian countries especially India. Light or solid color printed suits are the best choices for female candidates. But, try to avoid wearing a tight-fitted suit with heavy embroidery. A casual suit in cotton, chanderi, or georgette fabric is good to go with. You can also choose a straight and long kurta in cotton or Lucknowi style.

Bottom wear:

Trousers and palazzos: Cotton pants or khaki pants generally work well with shirts and tops. It is good if you choose them in dark colors like blue, black, coffee, and grey. Palazzos and leggings also look good with kurtas. You can also go with well-fitted basic denim jeans, which can work well with both tops and kurtas.

Skirts: Conservative-length skirts in subtle pastels are a good choice for a casual interview dress code. It is preferable to wear skirts with little or no design.

Sandals: Peep-toe shoes and sandals are acceptable.

Socks: Socks are usually optional. If candidates like to wear socks, select light and comfortable fabric with minimum or no design.

Watch: Don’t forget to wear a classy watch with your casual wear.

Jewelry: Wearing light jewelry like a sleek chain with a small pendant or bracelet to get a polished look is generally preferable.

Hairstyle and Make-up:

Hair Style: Half tied hair in a neat style with minimum or no accessory usually looks good. You can also choose a ponytail or keep your hair loose.

Nail Paint: Keep nails clean and well-trimmed.

Minimal Make-up: Keep your face fresh with a little hint of light colored blush and a natural-colored lip gloss. Also, adding a bit of kohl and mascara to impart a beautiful look.
