Cheap Holidays To Lanzarote Take You To Charming Beaches
A Spanish island known for its surreal geological attractions and volcanic landscapes, Lanzarote is the fourth-largest of the seven prominent Canary Islands. Most of the popular attractions on the island were created by the legendary Spanish architect and sculptor, Cesar Manrique. Over the years, his creations have become a major reason for tourists from different corners of the globe to explore this island. However, this part of the Canaries is not just about these fascinating architectural wonders. It also has some excellent beaches, which you can explore while having loads of fun in this charming island destination.
During your cheap holidays to Lanzarote, you'll get the chance to visit some awe-inspiring beaches that are located mainly in the resort areas like Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen. Most of them were created using the sands imported from the Sahara region. You can also find beaches that are natural and set amidst pleasant natural surroundings. Some of the unique ones are the black-sand beaches, such as Playa Quemada. It is close to El Gofio or Puerto del Carmen and is on the route that leads to Playa Blanca. If you're looking for the elegant blue-flag beaches, you can visit Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen.
Loungers, toilets, and sunshades are the facilities available on these beaches for visitors. The blue-flag beaches are well-maintained and cleaned regularly. These places can get busy, especially during the peak tourist seasons, such as school holidays, Christmas, and summers. Most of the beautiful beaches on the island are located a bit away from the regular tourist spots and are less crowded. They have been allowed to maintain their natural charm without any facilities or human intervention for its cleanliness. They are naturally clean and are washed by the tides coming from the Atlantic Ocean.
People may have different opinions about the top beaches worth exploring on this Canary Island, but the beaches located at Famara and Papagayo are the most fabulous of all according to the locals. The Papagayo Beach is a collection of beautiful coves, while Famara has a long stretch of sand that extends to 9 kilometres. You'll find a much better atmosphere while on your visit to the Papagayo Beach, as it is located at the island's southern tip. As Famara Beach is located on the north-west coast of the island, it may not have the ideal conditions for sunbathing during the winter season.
You can enjoy activities like walking and kite-surfing at other times during the year in the presence of strong winds. At the northern tip of the island is the Orzola village, which is home to several natural and wild beaches. Among the well-known ones is Caleton Blanco, the last beach you'll come across before you reach the village while travelling by road from Jameos del Agua. To the north of the Orzola village is yet another beautiful beach known as Playa de la Canteria. The waters rushing towards it might be risky for swimmers, but would provide the best experiences for surfers.
