One of the classic trekking options that encircle the whole Annapurna massif is the Annapurna Circuit Trekking. This trek takes 15-20days to complete because it is approximately 160-230km in length based on the pickup and drop off point. Almost all the trekkers travel this destination in the counterclockwise direction that renders a gradual gain in the altitude to cross over the highest point on the trek, Thorong La Pass. It offers excellent close-up views of some of the world’s highest mountains such as Mount Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho, Gangapurna, and Annapurna Massif. The trek passes via a huge variety of landscapes, which range from start high altitude Mustang desert region to rich farming valleys. Throughout your stay, you can enjoy comfortable accommodation at lodges and teahouses, and enjoy tasty meals.

• Annapurna base camp

Another popular trek in the Annapurna region is the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking, which brings you to the base of the mountains for awesome views of Annapurna I, the tenth highest mountain in the world, and Fish Tail. When compared to the full circuit, it is a shorter option but it is extremely popular as it gives close up views of the highest peaks in the great Annapurna Sanctuary. Usually, it takes about 10days to complete the trek. If you wish, then you can add Ghorepani poon hill trek either on the return or on the way up based on your needs. It actually extends your trip for four days. Go to this trip from September to October and April to June because these months offer such good climatic conditions. Of course, you need some better physical fitness to enjoy the trip because going high risks some altitude sickness. Try to prepare yourself to confront the changing climatic needs.
