A Review Of New Hp Chromebook 14 And Its Key Specifications
What Is The HP Chromebook 14?
The HP Chromebook 14 is a 14-inch laptop that runs on Google's browser-based Chrome OS. This is the second time HP has tried to use the HP Pavilion Chromebook in the past year, and there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.
It's even more pleasing, and Haswell-based Intel processors run faster than first-generation Chromebooks and have all the extra battery enhancements. HP also introduced a new data pass-paid mobile broadband service that provides users with two years of free 3G access. Is it enough to make this Chromebook owned? Maybe, but we don't fully believe it.
HP's first Chromebook isn't the most beautiful, it's a fair assessment. Black, cheap, basically unattractive. So for the Chromebook 14, HP has given up on a serious attitude and turned to a more arrogant and loud way. You can use the Peach Coral, Ocean Turquoise or Snow White 14 that we like to play.
This is different, but in a good way and deviate from the initial needs. The soft matte white lid and recessed base are not what we see on other Chromebooks. The grip is very good, giving ...
... the laptop under £300 a more luxurious feel than its plastic construction.
When you turn it on, the chassis is clearly inspired by the MacBook, from a buttonless chrome trackpad to a square chiclet button, although it doesn't use the same expensive materials as the Apple laptop. There is more space around the keyboard and a larger palm rest, but it looks better from the outside than it looks from the inside.
Screen And Sound Quality
The Chromebook 14 features a 14-inch LED-backlit 1,366 x 768 HD display that matches the screen resolution of the 11-inch Acer Chromebook C720 and the 13-inch. Sadly, this means that we have another Chromebook that offers another substandard display. It's more acceptable on an 11-inch display, but it's not really good on a 14-inch screen.
It is also a TN display, known for its poor viewing angles and glare, both of which are facing the Chromebook 14. You will find yourself sometimes tilting the angle of the screen to reduce reflections.
The display looks a bit faded, lacking in energy and intense color, making this video a particularly good place. Side by side with the HP Pavilion, there are some significant improvements in color accuracy and clarity. When you are around 50%, the brightness of 200 nits does not have much benefit. You need to be close to the maximum brightness to have the most suitable working environment.
Chromebook displays are still the most disappointing aspect overall, especially when tablet screens get better.
The HP Chromebook 14 is identical to other second-generation Chromebooks, with a Haswell-based Intel Celeron 2955U CPU running at 1.4GHz, providing a powerful operating system that keeps running smoothly. With 2GB of memory for multitasking and 16GB of SSD storage in two years, it can be used to back up files stored in 100GB of free Google Drive.
We can't start the wrong time, which is good for Chromebooks, it will check regularly around 7-8 seconds. This is a very smooth experience when you jump into the desktop and manage it well under multi-tasking or more appropriate multiple attack pressures.
Previous HP Chromebook.
Management mediocre 4.25 hours, so the new Chromebook promises 9.5 hours, thanks in part to the Haswell architecture we hoped for Much more. Apply the same tests we used in our recent Chromebook.
Run Netflix continuously on your Chromebook with 50% brightness.
14 manages an impressive nine hours.
Keyboard And Trackpad
HP has reduced its size, the keyboard layout is compared to the Pavilion, you will notice some keys are as slender as arrow keys. Other than this.
You can expect to find the usual function keys that are spread over the top.
And the caps lock button replaces the search button.
Although you can use an 11-inch Chromebook like a netbook, the most comfortable type of domain name.
Evaluation price: £279.00
14-inch LED backlight 1366; 768 display; 1.4GHz Intel Celeron 2955U; 2GB RAM, 3G support; Bluetooth 4.0; HDMI; 16GB SSD; USB 2.0 and 3.0
The HP Chromebook 14 is a major improvement in HP's first Chromebook product, and the added 3G support makes it an affordable option for you to actually take. This is a great feature, but we don't like the screen and the so-called touchpad.
