6 Powerful Yoga Poses To Increase Your Height

Your height depends on many factors such as the genes, nutritions, surrounding, practices etc. While some people are blessed with a good height, few are not that lucky. But these should not be any of the criterias to judge a person. If your height lowers your confidence, you can boost up yourself by continuous yoga practices. Yoga practices help to increase height of people from different age group. But any successful outcome will require continuous practices.

1. Surya Namaskar

This is an asana where you have to greet the Sun with your hands folded. It has total twelve poses which you need to perform in proper cyclical way. this This effectively stretches the muscles and helps in gaining height. This is one of the basic and most popular poses that helps in increasing height.

Stand still on the ground while facing the Sun
Join your palms, slowly lift both your arms up and keep inhaling
Without bending both of your yous try bending forward while you exhale
Now, gently raise the head as your push your left leg forward as the right leg follows till the time you lay flat on the ground.
After that exhale and reverse the whole process following the steps.

2. Sukhasana

Sukhasana not only helps you in gaining height but at the same time tones your hips and back both. All other asanas begin with this particular asana.

Sit on the ground with your legs crossed and hands on both your knees.
Now devote your whole concentration towards inhaling and exhaling while keeping your back straight.
Gently try to lower your knees towards the floor and hold it while exhaling. Repeat the same as much as you can.

3. Tadasana

One of the most recognised and effective yoga poses to increase the height is Tadasana or the Mountain Pose. Anyone can easily perform it without facing any difficulty.

Stand on your feet while keeping your back straight
Keep your feet closer to each other
Place your hands by the sides while the palms face inward
Now inhale and start raising your arms over the head as you stand on your toes
The exhale and gently return to the previous position.

4. Trikonasana

Triangle pose or Trikonasana helps you in gaining height and balancing your body.

Stand on the floor and keep your legs wide apart
Raise both your arms in line with the body
Now gently bends to the right side while the left hand remains upwards and keep it straight.
Hold the pose while looking up.
Now exhale and gently return back to the first position.
Repeat the same on the left side.

5. Chakrasana

Chakrasana is popularly known as the Wheel Pose. It makes your body flexible and increases your height as well.

Lay flat on the floor
Now, bring both your legs closer to your hips
Bend your elbows and rest the palms on each side of the head.
Gently raise your body in the upward direction and hold the pose as the spine creates an arch .
Now exhale and slowly return back to the previous state.

6. Bhujangasana

Help your body to gain height with Bhujangasana or the Cobra Pose. This yoga is specifically targeted towards the growth of the height.

Start by lying on the floor with your face facing towards the floor.
Keep your lower back intact and try stretching the upper portion of your body to bring the upper portion upwards.
Make sure no movement occurs in the body other than the upper body part, head and your shoulders.
Face the front as you come upward and concentrate on your breathing as it is one of the very requirement of this asana.
Other than increasing height, it also acts effectively on several back issues.

6. Hastapadasana

Known as hand to foot pose, Hastapadasana is among the easiest and effective poses which, if done in regular basis, can result in noticeable growth of height. With regular practice you can witness effective outcomes. It stretches your body to make it more flexible. Even in account of increasing height, Hastapadasana is the most effective poses of all.

Stand straight on the floor while keeping your feet together
Bend forward and hold the back of your feet with both your arms.
Hold the pose for a while and keep breathing
Then exhale and gently get back to the position from where you started.
